STUPIN Alexander (1776-1861)
Life of Alexander V. Stupin - a separate chapter in the history of the national art. As a painter, he is little known. "Written by the same small number of paintings, but wrote and drew almost everything himself and corrected after the students paint, why, and lacking of time ..." - writes the founder of Russia's first private art school Arzamas, where great Russian patriot dedicated his life. The early loss of parents, and the constant need to servitude and humiliation in his youth "in people" - nothing could stop the desire for young artistic skills and a desire to promote a mature man of Russian fine art in the depths of the fatherland. And may not be embodied the aspirations of AV Stupin in reality, if it did not contribute to his adoptive mother - illiterate, poor but kind and clever Russian woman Anisa STEPANOVNA. The greatest influence on the young Stupin had IA Akimov and AE Egorov (STUPIN noted, "Yegorov was strong in pencil, and Akimov perfectly and eloquently inspired and interpreted theoretically about painting"). In 1802, AV Stupin was named artist and was even presented to the President of the Academy of Fine Arts, AS Stroganov. In Arzamas young artist returned with a considerable amount donated by friends and teachers of art and benefits. Also in 1802 opened a school Stupin, which operated for several decades and has played a crucial role in the artistic culture of the country. In 1845, AV Stupin, by the time the Academy, was awarded the Academy of Fine Arts "for the spread of painting in the homeland and for the fortieth anniversary of the existence of his school." For its success a Russian citizen AV STUPIN worked until the last days of his long life.
