Maksimov Gorky (1810-1865)

Gorky Maximov did not take the right flank of Russian artists painting. Rather, it was a modest home front workers, whose love of drawing and the depiction of the age of 20 made ​​volnoprihodyaschim student of the Imperial Academy of Arts. Among the teachers who gave advice to young painters was and who by that time the famous KP Brullov (contact with the great maestro useful, perhaps, a young artist of any talent).

 The Academy Maximov received in 1835 a small silver medal. In 1836 he was awarded the title of a free artist. And although over the years the skill of the painter grew, it became the top official recognition in 1847 by the title of "assigned" to the Academy.
