Yarcev George F. (1858-1918)

Gregory F. Yartsev was one of those local artists who developed the amazing phenomenon of our fine art of the last decades of the XIX century - the Russian landscape painting - in breadth. His views of the southern nature, south of the village enjoyed success with the public, who are familiar with them including the exposures of mobile art exhibitions in which a young landscape painter began participating in 1885. The work "Yailata. Crimea" (1897), GF Yartseva was acquired for the Tretyakov Gallery.

Yet many in the heights of Russian landscape school of the time the artist has not reached, and therefore his name with the passage of time was mentioned less and less.
