Lissner Ernestovich Ernst (1874-1941)

Original native artist Ernst Johann Nicholas Ernestovich Lissner in adulthood came to the Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied from 1900 to 1908. He was awarded the artist's painting with an unusual name: Greetings to you, heroes of labor. In 1909, Ernst Ernestovich XXXVII already a member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions exhibitions. In subsequent years, was a member of various associations of visual artists, such as the Society of Artists "Free Art" (1911-1918).

 After the events of October 1917 and the Civil War EE Lissner stopped working and actively participate in the turbulent social and artistic life in the first decade of Soviet power. In 1920 he was a member of the union of "The Art of the workers" (1925-1928), a group of artists "Wing" (1926-1928), the Society of Artists named IE Repin (1924-1929). Ahead loomed a unified organization of the Soviet Union - the Union of Artists.
