Golovkin Konstantin Pavlovich (1871-1925)Born in Samara in 1871, died there in 1925 came from a merchant family Golovkin graduated Commercial College. He worked in the traditions of Russian realistic art of the second half H1H - early XX century. At age 25, the young merchant and owner of stationery shop initiated the creation of the art department of the Samara city museum, which was the rest of his fate. In addition, Golovkin chronicled Samara exhibitions and published the book "The whole Samara." After the Revolution of 1917 the artist for a while leave from Samara to Irkutsk, where he participated in archaeological excavations. In the early 1920s, Golovkin returned to Samara and brought the whole truck exhibits for the museum, including items of archaeological excavations.
