Gregory M. Bobrowski, a painter. He was born on 17 (29) February 1873 in Vitebsk, died in 1942 in Leningrad. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1893 from IE Repin , graduating in 1900 with the title of the artist's painting "Evening". In 1916 he received the title of Academician. In the 1920s and 30s. performed the works: "Beginning of Spring" (1922), "An Evening at Sea" (1923), "The Road" (1927), "Build" (1932), "Winter-watering" (1933). Bobrovsky work exhibited in Munich (1911, 1913 - small and large gold medals), New York (1924), etc. The exhibition of his works was held in 1947 (Leningrad). Bobrowski taught at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Artists in St. Petersburg (1905-1917), VHTUZe. Since 1921 - professor.

GM Bobrowski - one of the founders of the Union of Russian Artists, was familiar Gorky and his entourage. He wrote Chaliapin and a friend of C. Roerich , F. Bogorodskaya, K. Korovin , A. RYLOV , K. Gorbatov , MI Brodsky et al name GM Bobrovsky not once found in the writings of Gorky. He worked in the 1910s on Capri with Gorky - wrote Capri scenery.
