Ammosov Sergei Nikolaevich
(1837-1886)

Clean, clear views of SN Ammosova, understated beauty of the artist "pieces" of Central Russian open spaces (but not only them, of course), attracted the attention of lovers of beauty nowadays mainly because the modern pace of life and the style does not allow many of us to see in the space surrounding them something similar to the images (this also applies to hundreds of other great Russian landscape paintings, reproduced the corners like mother nature). And the rapid "progress" in the second half of the last century, probably reduced the number of these great places.

 Ammosov Sergey graduated from the Moscow School of Painting and Sculpture. His teachers included AK Savrasov . He took an active part in the organization of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions, has done much to promote the art of painting in the Russian society.
