Klever Julius Yulievich (1850-1924)

Russian landscape painter. He studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1867-70). From 1878 - Academician since 1881 - professor.

In his landscapes bright and colorful lighting effects passed. However, many times repeating the same scenes and types (for example, "Red Sunset"), the artist often has to fall into a pattern, and it has become an art salon-academic.

  Best picture: the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow ("Wildwood", 1880, etc.) and at the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg ("Winter", 1879., Etc.).
