Nevrev Nikolai Vasilyevich (1830-1904)

There are in a difficult creative destiny Russian artist Nikolai Nevrev during his unusually high moral takeoff. In the film "Comm. Scene from serf life. From the recent past," a talented artist with a brush expressed his attitude to savagery mores of contemporary society. Paint a picture, apparently, by the year of the abolition of serfdom (1861) and the year of the appearance of the web to the audience (1866). But who knows, maybe a lot has been written before, and waited for the day?

 It is not a revolutionary plot. The faces of the two main characters - the seller and the buyer - no "Radishchev" traces of crimes. There is a calm discussion of the transaction. The sale of the rights. Perhaps showing this everyday (or routine) for the times and events is the pinnacle of the Russian genius rebuke evil. N. Nevrev shows the seller that has an interest in literature, painting, and even freedom-loving ideas (on the wall can be considered an engraving depicting a famous figure of Mirabeau French Revolution).

The film received widespread public response. While the authorities have done everything to ensure that it does not hit on the International Art Exhibition, the Russian public in the face of the Society of Arts awarded Trading NV Nevrev first prize. Very soon she came and PM Tretyakov, thereby gaining even greater fame and popularity.

 Born in Moscow merchant family of Nicholas Nevrev only twenty-one, he entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. According to contemporaries, after leaving school, NV Nevrev draws a lot of portraits, not gaudy in color but different in its truth and elements of psychology. It is known that in 1859 he received the title of class artist. In 1866, the composer of "Bargaining" written "Archdeacon," declares the birthday party at the merchant Many Years (1866) and "The Pupil" (1867). In the "Protodeacons" good knowledge of merchant life allowed the artist to create a vivid, realistic picture with large patches of satire and humor (and this is real life, and differs from structures). The painting "The Pupil" is made explicitly in a minor key - otherwise the situation described is not allowed.

 In subsequent years, the artist had standing orders for portraits, historical and social picture, although its main purpose to society and art, NV Nevrev performed in the sixties of the XIX century.
