Knabe Adol'fovich Ivan (1879-1910)

Ivan Knabe was in a real school in the Reformed Church in Moscow.
 in 1898. entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the painting department. Elected to the Kuznetsovsky mug. /
 Artist Knabe was an active member of the "Blue Rose" in the first stage of its operations and acted her part as a painter at the most important exhibitions.

 In the works Knabe clearly expressed dekorativistskaya trend. His square or elongated horizontal landscapes tend to Pann. Judging by the title of the painting, they are prevalent theme night, the moon a ghostly light, the images of fairy tales, romantic dream motif.
