YUSHKOV Fyodor Osipovich (1819-1876)The State Russian Museum are two paintings ("Cabinet Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna of the Winter Palace" and "Gothic Hall in the Winter Palace"), owned by Fyodor Osipovich Yushkov, marvelously talented and versatile man. His father - a well-known St. Petersburg sculptor of animals. Fyodor YUSHKOV chose a military career. After graduating from University of St. Petersburg youth ends and the Marine Corps with the rank of warrant officer entered the service in the Navy. During the long years of service FO YUSHKOV was wounded in the defense of Sevastopol during the Crimean War, defended Kronstadt and finished his service with the rank of rear admiral. F.O.Yushkov was not a professional artist. However, growing up in a family that loved art, having the makings of a great depiction of and apparently regularly engaged in his favorite hobby at leisure, marine officer has reached a high level of master artist.
