Vladimirov, Ivan Alexeyevich (1869-1947)Ivan Vladimirov [12/29/1869 (01/10/1870), Vilnius - 14.12.1947, Leningrad], American painter and graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1946). He studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1891-97) in A. Kivshenko D. and F. Roubaud . Was an art correspondent during the Russian-Japanese (1904-1905), the Balkans (1912-13) and the 1 st World War and participated in the revolutionary movement. Member of AHRR. By genre paintings, sketches of many military, battle, historical and revolutionary paintings ("Barricade in Presnia. 1905," Museum of the Revolution of the USSR, Moscow, "Down with the eagle", 1917-18, Museum of the Great October Socialist Revolution, Leningrad, "Liquidation Wrangel's troops ... ", 1932, Tretyakov Gallery). He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and medals.
