Sokolov, Vladimir Ivanovich (1872-1946)
His first student's picture of Vladimir Sokolov presented at the exhibition of the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1893. He was a student of II Levitan , and his work of late XIX - early XX century bore the marks of the natural influence of the great Russian landscape painter. The artist's works of this time were imbued with subtle lyricism and filled with a special "scenic" silence. Subject paintings VI Sokolov has changed little in the years of Soviet power. He is still close low-key nature spots, the small Russian town (Rostov, Moore, Sergiev Posad).
