Yuri Y. Lehmann (1834-1901)

Lehman, Julius Y. - a portrait painter (1834 - 1901).
 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, received a gold medal for his painting "Farewell to the bride," the title of the class artist - in 5 watercolor portraits.
 settled in Paris, wrote almost exclusively ladies' portraits, head and polufigury young women. Many of his works of this kind appeared in exhibitions partnership Wanderers.
 At the museum of Alexander III - his "veiled lady" in the Tretyakov Gallery - "The Lady in the costume of the time of the Directory" (1881) and "For needlework" (1887).
