Avilov Mikhail Ivanovich
(1882 - 1954)

Avilov Mikhail Ivanovich - Soviet Russian painter.
In 1904 - 1913 GG studied at the Art Academy class of battle in FARubo , then at Samokisha.

During the 1st World War, printed in illustrated magazines military sketches.

In the 20 years Avilov created a series of paintings on the theme of the Civil War: "The Siberian partisans" (1926), "Delivery of Kolchak's forces near Krasnoyarsk" (1926), "Breakthrough of the Polish Front of the First Cavalry Army" (1928) etc.

 Serial realistic method and advanced professional skills Avilova one of the best Soviet Infantrymen.

 During the Great Patriotic War, the artist has created a monumental canvas - "Fight Peresvet Chelubey" glorifying the heroic struggle of the Russian people against the Tatar-Mongol yoke. This pattern still remains a classic battle-historical genre.
