Sukhodolskiy Boris (mid-XVIII century?)
About the artist Boris Sukhodolskoye know is that in the fifties of the XVIII century he performed for Ekateringofskomu Palace in Tsarskoye Selo, a few desyudeportov - naddvernyh decorative panels. These "gallant scenes" background composed landscapes considered to be allegories of science, music, etc. But this is not entirely true. Of course, you can not even call Sukhodolskiy landscape painter of genre or artist, yet his paintings - not just a fantasy: the scenes recreate the atmosphere of the "garden of life" in Russia XVIII century. "The Walk" can be perceived Sukhodolskiy excellent illustration of the story of the Russian gardens of Peter after Peter and time. We have before us the picture, where are present all the attributes of a Dutch Baroque Garden - busts of great philosophers and writers, architectural ruins, arches, fountains and, of course, the books in the hands of visitors to the garden and their teachers.
