Yushan Alex Lukic (1840-1866)

The artist-genre painter, graphic artist. A native of Tambov province, from a family of artisans. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture E.S.Sorokina . He died early in life, and it is little known.

Author of numerous graphic works that reproduce "types" of his time (State Russian Museum).

The only extant painting of - a picture of "Farewell to the chief," for which the artist was awarded the Grand Silver Medal. It Yushan developed genre tradition P.A.Fedotova with its sharp social criticism orientation. Layed on the principle of theatrical staging, restrained in color, it attracts a variety of individual psychological characteristics of actors expertly spaced satirical twist.
